How to extract audio from a video

Updated 2026-07-24 by KlasseHand Media Tool

Create an MP3 from a video you own, while understanding quality and copyright limits.

When extraction is useful

Audio extraction helps when you need a lecture soundtrack, a voice recording from a screen capture, or a smaller file for review. It is not a downloader and should only be used with files you own or have permission to process.

What the output contains

The tool exports an MP3 from the selected file. If the source has no audio track, muted sections, or an unsupported audio stream, the result may be silent or fail.

Quality considerations

Extracting audio cannot restore detail that was not in the source. A noisy recording, clipped microphone, or low-bitrate original will still sound limited after export.
